Our friendship community make financial contribution in the weeks leading up to Ramadan. With the donated funds we target to fulfill not less than 2,000 Ramadan bags to Upper Egypt:
The idea of winter in the Sahara, brings to our mind, the memory of cuddling under the blanket for warmth. However, the case is different for the poor people, it is a fight for survival with every drop in the temperature. Thus, in 2016 we launched the campaign of blanket distribution & targeted 500 unprivileged people in upper Egypt. By time, we increased the number of blankets by the year 2020 to reach 1000 blankets of highest quality weighted 3.4kg to be distributed annually.
We have been working successfully since 2016 in providing low cost primary healthcare to the lowest strata of the socio-economic pyramid precisely in remote villages in upper Egypt. As of 2025, we started to include unprivileged areas in Cairo to provide them also with free of charge medical Conovys. So far we have been doing well in achieving our goals as during the period between 2016-2021, Alsohba in partnership with Faculty Of Medicine Kasr Al-Ainy Cairo University and mainly Ibrahim A. Badran charitable foundation have accomplished over 12 medical Convoys, treated over 22,000 citizens across Upper Egypt. One week prior to the convoy ‘s arrival, reservations are made for the patients to meet with the different health departments.
Education is one of the essential pillars for development and sustainability. Alsohba seeds within selected Egyptian national public school students needing scaffolded learning approaches. Aiming to ensure a deeper knowledge and understanding of a variety of subjects, not limited to knowledge from books rather from trips to historical monuments.
